This has probably been asked a million times before but here goes. Why doesn't the DVD set or television broadcasts show the original credits where you hear Marty speak to Jeff.

Supposedly, the original beginning had been lost for sometime...until it was found in the ITC vaults, sometime in the late 80's/early 90's IIRC.

If you have the recent Network DVD set, you can see the "Only you, Jeff! Only you!" intro...it is the intro used on the episodes featured on the fourth disc. :)
